Hey Brossy Woman!
Although y’all know I love a good “fake deep” brain dump, sometimes you just need a break lol. So, I wanted to keep this one intentionally light and to do my best at refraining from slipping into a tangent about societal issues and everything that is 2020.
Just like probably 99% of women who carry purses, I have gone overboard way too many times. I think at some points it started to be a challenge to see what all I could fit in one bag & still carry it without my arm getting sore. BUT I have seen the light, and in an effort to be more sustainable, only bring the necessities with me in my small canvas tote that I have begun carrying everywhere. Guess what, there’s probably only 5 things I actually need to get through the day. You can do it too Boo! So *drum roll* here are my 5 things that go with me everywhere and keep my bag clutter free
1. My Kindle

How many times have I gone on and on about how much I love Kindle reads at this point? I really used to be one of the people who dismissed the idea all together without even giving it a try. In reality, who has time to carry around multiple books that either get heavy, damaged, or BOTH. The answer is NOBODY, & definitely not me. So whenever I have down time I pull my fave out of my bag and either start or finish one of the books I’m reading.
2. A Journal(s)

My mind is literally always thinking of a million things and inevitably some things just don’t make it until the end of the day. That’s why I always keep a journal! Not only do I like to jot down ideas that come to my head, but I can keep my thoughts at least somewhat organized “neatly” together. *Sidenote: I keep two journals. One is mainly for everyday life/BB plans & the other I used for therapy and my mental well-being.
3. A drink or snack

I cannot make it through the work day, or any day if I’m being forreal, without an emergency stash. I buy at least 2 bottles of Kombucha a week to contribute to my digestive health and to keep me from drinking sodas everyday. If I don’t have a bottle of Buch, then I have some sort of chips, pretzels, cookies, etc.
4. Lip Gloss/Carmex

Yes, I know I have on a mask all day & nobody actually sees my lips. BUT hear me out. I use the carmex just to make sure all that trapped breath doesn’t dry my lips out. THEN I use the lip gloss just in case I feel cute & need to remove the mask and risk the Rona (not really) to get a good pic.
5. Nail Clippers & A Clippers

These are definitely non essential items, but they have become more useful than I initially thought. The excessive hand washing and sanitizing not only makes my hands dry, but it starts to make my nails brittle as well. I haven’t made it a priority to jump back in the nail shop just yet. Keeping a file & clippers really helps to catch the splits in my nails before they get really annoying & so I can continue to manage and grow my natural nails.
So obviously I keep other things like my keys, wallet, hand sanitizer, etc. But that’s a given. These things I really didn’t think about until I needed to be more intentional about how much stuff I squeezed into my small canvas tote everyday.
Dass It! & look I stayed in topic & off of my soap box. Stay happy and healthy!
